Your wife sounds like the girl i knew was going to become my wife although she didn't kmow it at the time..
I was dating a girl that knew i lobed pool and she had no problem with it. We used to go to a bar where i shot pool and ahe hung out and danced with friends.
I was playing for beers mostly and was having a good night. She would vome back every ao often and collect beers i won for her and her girlfriends.
As it usually happens it got down to just me and one guy after every one got tired if losing. I kept on beating him game after game.and his brother who had been watching kept tellimg him to up the game and saying he shoots better with money on the line. He comtinually kept saying raise the bet after each loss. I kept refusing to play for more. Well my girlfriend popped in and heard the brother talkimg smack.
She says....he plays better when money is involved huh. The brother says yea. My girlfriend asks how much ? He says 20.00 a game.
My girfriend says 20.00 is nothing. Reaches in her pocket and counts out 300.00. She says lets see how good he plays for 300.00.
Those 2 guys went over to a corner and started whispering to each other. I started whispering to her...wth you doing ? She says i heard him talking smack last time i came for beers and decided to see if he is a good as he claims to be.
We looked up in time to see them headed out the door. Right then and there i decided she was goimg to be my next wife. We got marrisd 5 years later and that was 30 years ago..
