I play with a mid 70's 4 point, 4 veneer rose wood prongs/butt sleve 59" Gus, no inlays with fat shafts that are well used, its a stiff hitting cue. It was just refinished and re wrapped with origonal Penn Linen, its turning blue(i like that its feeling better and better), I have been using it for the last 4-5 months and intend to keep playing with it until I have to travel, I have another cue thats similar that I will travel with.
It does have a bit of a rattle when you palm it I think its in the joint, uts 99.9% straight. Its one of the best playing Gus cues I have ever hit balls with. The rose wood is great and not to many around. Its a players cue. I love owning fancy, super fancy, uber fancy cues abd I do use them from time to time, but I dont like playing with those kind of cues in pool rooms too much flash, I dont worry about hurting them or dinging them b/c I never do. I just dont like the flash. But owning them is awesome and sharing them with friends is great.
