What lathe to buy?

I had a mid size Hightower years ago, great lathe but was probably overkill for just tips,ferrules and shaft cleaning

Local room owner wants a small lathe on site so I can cone in and do tips for him.

Who makes something around 800-1k with driver pins and all the basics?

You can buy a H/F or similar mini-lathe for less than 1/2 of what you want to spend.
You don't need over the counter maint-pins for what you want to do.
