That's funny, because if they turn the music off... I'm a goner!! lol

about 2 or 3 strokes later, it's game over chuck.

Impatience

This can happen on different nights or it can happen in the same night.

What causes you to able to make almost every shot you take and 2 minutes later you can't make a shot?

For me, one is quick shooting when I get behind in a set. I must be thinking I can win 2 or 3 games with one stroke. :) One of --->many<--- things I need to work on.

When I am ahead I play patient and usually do a decent job of closing it out, when I'm behind I get impatient and the train often comes off the tracks.

Dawgie,

I've learned over the years that I can trust my stroke, I just can't always trust my head. I'm the type who can worry about things or get high strung. It's always best for me to have my mind in order before I ever shoot, or I'm wasting my time. Another funny quirk with me is that the longer the session, the better I play. If I take off a day or so without shooting, I can feel it the first 1/2 hour or so when I play again. Then it all comes back. The thing that I always have to work on is my mindset. I've worked very hard on my fundamentals and my stroke, and now, it's all muscle memory. For the most part, my head (mindset) determines how I'm going to shoot that particular day.
AND YOU AIM HOW ??? fundamentals and a stick do not pocket balls. aiming a cue ball at an object ball puts balls into holes.

The guy who wrote that country western song about shooting the jukebox must have been a pool player. Bankshot Billiards in Louisville, KY plays blues & thats not so bad, but rap & rock*#@**. Eberle's Zen of Pool does a good job on the mental game.
