What order do you Rack the Balls?

I was told by several old road players to rack the way that is listed above.But I always rack different on different games.If I am giving wait or getting or if the person misses a certain ball everytime they shoot.

LOL naw just kidding, i don't really play that much nineball so i just place the one and nine where they go and i always just mixed it up.

For eightball i rack it like this but i always rack with the color of the table as the head ball. I place the stipes and solids like so, but i place the colors together.

I don't know if this is true, but I heard at one time on the Euro Tour, it was part of the rules that the 2 ball cannot be placed in the same position twice. It must be placed in a different position everytime (until of course the cycle repeats itself).

Maybe someone can shed some light on that or verify it. I might be confused.

I think the only ball that is really significant is the 2 ball and where it lands. Breaks are random enough that beyond the 2 ball, spending even a small amount of mental energy on rack magic is a waste.

someone once posted that they were racking there own balls and he kept placing the two ball in the back and makine the one and getting shape on the two, can't really recall if this was the exact way they were racking but if it is legal by oh means keep that baby in the same place LOL,
