Looks to be 3/8-10. 3/8 being the diameter and 10 being the number of threads per inch.
Is it sticking out a little over an inch? I'm counting 11 threads visible.

What's the possibility it's not 3/8-11 I made this mistake before, it turned out to be 3/8-11 When i guessed it at 3/8-10 that cost me , sometime to get what i needed to make it right The only way i new for sure was you try a 3/8-10 pin, then a tap , then the thread gauge lol Also, it's hard to judge anything from one picture, could be the angle that makes the pin look longer.
Hey Op share some measurements info on cue, maybe just length of pin or where the cue came from, maker etc.

It's a Sherm Adamson cue, pics are from it being listed for sale . Was hoping someone could tell by the pic since the owner has no idea

Ah, a new low in the pin-size guessing game, AI powered by idiots on reddit.

At least @Mike Rys is suggesting using a tool.

Look, take the cue to someone who understands how to measure threads. That isn't the guy at Home Despot, Lowe's, Menards, Dollar General, or the Jack-in-the-Box Drive-thru. It might be the guy at Fastenal. Any decent machinist can do it, some mechanics, most mechanical engineers. But nobody is doing with much confidence by a crappy photo on their iphone.

Now that I see this, the pin does look a little smaller than 3/8. Here's what Perplexity AI says:

I'm not sure where you found this, but most of sherms cues were 5/16-18 I've worked on quite a few and have never seen anything of his other than 5/16-18 and the radial pin

He doesn't actually have the cue, which makes measuring a little difficult. :ROFLMAO:

Sounds like he took a picture and is trying to id the cue by the pin to decide if he wants to purchase it, That's hilarious! What a wasted thread
How is it a waste? He's thinking about buying it and needs more info. He tried asking the owner and they had no clue. Asking a bunch of cuemakers sounds like a good option.
Too bad some of them just want to piss and moan about it.
Hopefully the people who actually want to help can give him enough info to possibly get the owner to verify what it is.

You are correct I do not have the cue, it is a sherm adamson from the 90's which is signed and dated. It is reasonable priced but it is 3.5 hrs away, I have some predator shafts that I like to use and if one of them fit it,then it would be a great deal for me. If I had to buy another shaft for it I would just pass on it. I have some in 5/16x18 and 3/8x10. Just thought someone might be able to identify it y looking at it. The owner thinks it's a radial pin and do know enough that it is not a radial.
Definitely not trying to catfish anyone over a joint pin.

Here is a different angle if this helps any.
Now we have a little more to go on I must have missed that you told us it was a sherm cue, but still hard to tell what pin from a picture

i found this cue and the seller removed the first picture you posted here. If you enlarge that first picture it looks like there is a phenolic insert at the base of the pin, as if the pin was replaced for some reason from the original
