I live 5 minutes from Bethesda, and there are more restaurants per square mile than anywhere else in the country. Not much pool, though.
Babes located on Wisconsin Avenue a/k/a Route 355 is actually in D.C., a stretch down the road, and it has closed down.
Unos, I had thought, is in Wheaton, Maryland, along with Legends. Both places are comfortable, but if you're looking for action or somebody to spar with, I wouldn't suggest those two spots.
Orange Ball Billiards in Rockville, MD, up Route 355 a/k/a Wisconsin Avenue is a happening kind of place, as is Champions in Rockville.
If you're going to be here all week, check out the weekly $25-entry-fee 9-ball tourneys in the metro D.C. area:
Monday-Bill and Billie's, Arnold, MD [well-maintained pool room]
Tuesday-Champion Billiards in Laurel, MD [I like this place]
Wednesday-Orange Ball in Rockville, MD [good food and usually draws 20-plus players]
Thursday-First Break in Sterling, VA [It's a short drive, but well worth it!]
USA Billiards in Laurel, MD is a comfortable pool room, day and night. You may find yourself a little action, whether it's playing for time or for some cash, depending on your tastes.
Hopes this helps.
