What shaft diameter do most people use?

12.5 here! 13mm too thick for my fingers. I find myself using an open bridge more often with a bigger shaft.

My regular playing cue has a 12.65mm tip. I like it alot because I don't have to cue far off from the center for near extreme english shots (which you barely ever need) My game with a 12.65 makes english shots easier because you get the spin without having to cue as far out. HOWEVER, on my bad days I do play with another cue that's a bit more forward weighted and a 13mm tip. Also on some long straight shots, I sometimes switch back to my 13mm if I dont' feel confident about my stroke that day.

11.9mm - 12.1mm for the first 16 inches of the shaft (a very long pro taper). I like it to be basically the same size as the shaft glides through my bridge from the begining of my stroke to the end of my stroke (however, I do have a somewhat longer than average bridge).

But, I did order my cue with 13mm shafts and had my local cue repair guy take it down (about 3 different times) until I was happy with the diameter and taper.
