What should I do?

Hi I am new to this forum and this is my first reply. I bought a meucci pp3 one year ago and kind of got the same response as you with your se-3. The cue seems to match my style of play and my game has come up big time with a minnium 3 hours practice daily. Work hard at your game and let your play do the talking. The talk at the pool room will change from skeptics to jealous respect.

Now, here's the question. I can tell, when people come up to play me, that they're thinking "Wow, some little rich kid asked his daddy for an expensive cue and he's not even that good." I mean, I'll admit that I'm not even close to good enough to carry a cue like this, so what do you think I should do?

Are you a mind reader or just feeling guilty? I never saw in your post that someone actually said anything. You just kind of came up with this on your own. Maybe they're appreciative, envious, jealous, or desirous of the cue and it has nothing to do with you. Something could always be said about a cue to someone else. Johnny and Earl get blasted for playing with what's considered low end cues. Others get slammed for playing with $5,000 custom cues and they've never run a complete rack of anything. So what?!
Maybe the "rich kid" moniker that you've attached to yourself has nothing to do with the cue at all. It might be the the Beamer convertible or the new Ferrari that you drive up to the room in.
