Im not sure, but i think Irvin Crane holds the record on the 10footers, not sure what it is though

I play on a VNEA 8-ball league, but my bar table play is limited to warming up a couple games & playing the match. The greater % of my play is on a 9 ft table.

From google search:

Crane set the world straight pool high run record of 309 in 1939 on a 5' x 10' table

Hope this helps :-)

May I ask why those 10ft pool tables are not used/made anymore? What were the pockets like?

I would imagine it was due to space issues in pool halls. Fit more 7's , 8's, and 9's in a room, fit more people on the tables, fit more $ in the owner's pockets. People buy what they see and they just weren't seeing 10' tables anymore. I played on a 10' a couple o times. Looks like an extra MILE to me on thos long shots.

I do hear that most pool in the Phillipines is played on 10'. Never been though, so I can't confirm that.

Oh yeah, I forgot the topic. I play on 8' on my two league nights. The rest of my time is spent on 9'. Preferably with small pockets.
