What this game does to some people...

He owes you $20...I'd go back in there with a few big friends and collect it and ask for an apology.

This isn't really your problem it's his...make him confront it. Easier said than done, but...

You've got a better temper than me. Once he started "following" me with his friends he would have some trouble on his hands. I'm a smaller guy...but I've got a bad temper, and I fight dirty. I would have made it very clear to all of them that they might whip me, but they were going to feel me the next day. If they had punched my windshield...I might have backed up and ran them over. My wife doesn't like me gambling, because of idiots like this, and she knows my temper. I've always been proud that I'm a gracious winner and loser. Hell, I've lost the last two times I've gambled...and I pay up and act like a gentleman. When I win (which is usually more than I lose) I feel guilty...go figure. LOL

Anybody that would cause a scene, and even just raise their voice over $40 wouldn't be any friend of mine.

That's a good point Jon, this particular guy doesn't sound like the type of person myself, or anyone for that matter, should want to be friends with.

seriously can't understand y ppl can behave like this..

Good question George!.....I learned very early on not to lose my temper or composure in any situation be it competition, a fight, or a debate over politics etc. It shows a lack of self control, fear, and ignorance....all things you don't need an opponent know about you!:D

Case in point, I made a 9ball game with a player I didn't know, and I was way too cocky because I was playing real good at that time. Sure enough this guy played at least 1-1/2 balls faster than me. So I was lucky we were only playing for $20, and each one I lost I smiled and paid. After an hour or so I was down maybe $140, but then I caught a gear because I finally figured out the break on this table. At the end of the session the guy said...."somehow I knew I was in trouble...you just kept smiling and paying, and I figured you were playing me off to check my speed" I just said....nah....I figured out the break, and got lucky on you....:D

This guy was only a pool hall "friend". Didn't know him outside the room that both he and I frequent. Honestly afraid to go back there for a little bit. Not for my own safety but for that of my property.

you are not a coward if you bring it to the management's attention.

Also the police are available if it takes a bad turn. not everyone is a fighter man. no shame in that.
