Need to clean a Fiberglass shaft from a cuetec cue. I did niot want to damage it. What is the best way to clean it and what to use to clean with. Thanks

What is on it that needs cleaned off?

I would clean it with alcohol and one of those Mr. Clean cleaning sponges, hit it with some 1500 sandpaper, and then wax it and burnish it.

1) take a trash bag (preferably Glad Force Flex, but Hefty will work too).

2) poor left over grease from frying bacon into bag (let it cool some first so it doesn't burn your hand! But not so cool it congeals.)

3) place fiberglass shaft into bag, and slosh grease around to coat the shaft.

4) place bag, with shaft in it, outside in trash container, let sit in sun with lid closed. (This allows the grease to penetrate the fiberglass, without stinking up the surrounding area).

5) place container on curb on trash pickup day.

6) let garbage men dump bag, grease, and shaft, into garbage truck.

7) go back inside, and order a carbon fiber shaft.

It works every time to achieve smoothest shaft possible.

I wouldn't sand it. Depending on how dirty you could use the magic eraser or not then use a car wax/cleaner. I have some cuetec 1 piece for house cues but I don't remember ever cleaning them.

I am not sure if “Cuewax” ,is contraindicated on non wood shafts.

But a coat on wood shaft allowed to dry 20 minutes, than polished with soft clean cloth.

Ounce of prevention, works PRN.
