Just picked up this Jacoby a few weeks ago and realized i HATE linen wraps. Either looking for suggestions on how to get a little "stickier" like wrapless either through lizard or leather, or just laquer over it. And if so who is the best person on the forum to send the cue to or is Jacoby the best option. Or, seeing what might be out there for trade. Prefer wrapless.

Specs are as follows

SS joint 5/16x14
5 matching rings brown phenolic with single brass ring
approx 19oz
one ~13mm shaft small ding toward joint (dropped day i bought it)
white w/ brown spec linen wrap

Here are some pics (sorry took them with camera phone)

Nice cue. I had good luck with JW Petree doing a nice leather wrap. I heard Scott Sherbine is excellent and very fast. I also really like the finish over the wrap, had Schon refinish and spray one of my cues over the wrap and it turned out great!

Also I have a Schon with a stacked leather wrap and I love it as well. I believe Ryan at Meullers does a hell of a stacked wrap. Check out his myspace page to see some sweet examples.

I have found that stack leather wraps done correctly are "somewhat" close to a wood handle.

The Wisconsin BCA tournament starts this week in Oconomowoc (26N to 94E) and Jacoby will have a booth onsite. You could check out some cues while you are there and if you like them leave it for a wrap. They will also take trade-ins if you find something else you prefer.

Tell 'em I sent 'ya :)
