What to do with these Mr. Billiards short cues?

I found these two 48" Mr. Billiards cues at a second hand store while on vacation a couple of weeks ago. They look to me like something from the 40' 0r 50's.

A buddy thinks they might originally have been bumper pool cues and that they might make interesting jump cues.

Probably the pricing from the garage sale that the second hand store bought these cues from. The cue in the middle didn't have a tip.

I don't know any history on your cues, but Walmart sells 48" cues both as one piece and jointed. They cost around $ 8.00 each.
