What type of joint pin is on my Longoni cue and want a carbon fiber shaft to fit it?

Or
Make the insert and put it in whatever shaft you wish!
Well I contacted Longoni and asked if their Luna Nera shaft would fit my over 20 year old Longoni cue, and here's their reply?
it appears that the only Longoni shafts that will fit my cue are their S20 and S30 canadian maple shafts, and I really would prefer to put a C/F shaft on this cue. So I've been reading about the "Whyte Carbon" shafts and the "Bull Carbon" shaft that both come with interchangeable joints, so I wonder if they would have a joint that would fit this/my 20 year old Longoni cue?
People who know cues are who(m) you want to be having this discussion with....talk to Philippi!

Great News, I found out that the McDermott 3/8-16 Quick Release joint fits the Longoni XP-S joint perfectly! So I order a 12.25mm "Whyte Carbon Fiber" playing shaft with this McDermott quick release joint, and "Voilà", it fits and plays perfectly. So if anyone has a 20 year old or older Longoni cue (or any cue for that matter) and it has an XP-S joint on it, and if they want to replace the shaft, let them know that a McDermott 3/8-16 Quick Release shaft will fit it perfectly!!!

Something else I found out that's interesting? Viking sells all the "Whyte Carbon Fiber" shafts. So did Viking acquire the company?

Also, I want to give a shout out and a very "BIG THANK YOU" to Rick Phillippi of "Phillippi Custom Cues", because when I initially met with Rick, regarding the Longoni XP-S joint, he measured it and put some type of Hex Nut on the joint, and told me that a 3/8-16 joint would fit it, and that the McDermott 3/8-16 Quick Release may fit it. He also told me about a lady in my APA league, that's a customer of his, who actually had that shaft on her cue. So I met with her, and found out that the McDermott 3/8-16 Quick Release joint did fit. And then I found out that the Whyte Carbon Fiber and Bull Carbon Fiber shafts both had interchangeable joint inserts, and that the Whyte Carbon Fiber shafts actually advertised that they offered the McDermott 3/8-16 Quick Release interchangeable joint insert, and based on the good reviews about this shaft (on AZBilliards), I decide on the Whyte Carbon Fiber shaft.

But once again, I have to say "Thank You" again to Rick Phillippi of "Phillippi Custom Cues" whose help and advice made all this possible and a success!!!

Also, I want to say thank you all the members here that gave me advice on this forum thread, and a Thank You to "AZBilliards.com" in general because if we (or I) didn't have this website as a central place to discuss any and everything related to pool and billiards, then I (and others) would not be as knowledgeable and aware of all the vendors, pool equipment and asscessories, and everything else pool/billiards related, which made for a good outcome for me!!!
