Do you have in your city?

Here in Sacramento, CA, there are Weekly tournaments in about 4 different pool halls. Most of them are 9 ball, most of them are non-handicapped.

I would guess that there are maybe 8 weekly tournaments. 3 of them would be USPPA handicap.

There are only 2 monthly tournaments, both non-handicapped.

Entry fees range from $5 to $25 for these regular tournaments.

Almost all the weekly and monthly tournaments have Added money. The monthly tournaments have $300 to $500 added, based on the number of entries.

What does your city have to offer the pool players?

Around here it's all bar table 8-ball tournaments. Normally entries range from $5-20 most don't have any money added or if they do it's not much $50-200 tops. But we have enough of them in the winter time to play in one every night of the week I guess, alot of them I've never been to. We don't have any pool halls around here anymore, although I have heard there's one going in somewhere in Mansfield. I'll believe it when I see it tho. So the only places that have 9footers are the bowling alleys.

We have 1 pool hall with a weekly 8-ball and a weekly 9-ball. $7.00 $50 added.
1 pool hall/bar with 1 weekly 9-ball. $7.00 ?added
Several scattered bar box 8-ball tournaments for about $5.00 and little added.
You never know if the bar box tournaments will have enough players.

Here in Saskatoon there are no tournaments in the summer :( . Heck, hardly anyone plays in the summers around here, they're all at the golf courses (something that is quite difficult and painful in the winters).

From Sept - May there are a couple of pool halls that hold weekly 9 ball or 8 ball events, at least one is handicapped, $10 ($13 Canadian, 10 to the pot, 3 for fees) entry, winners share depends on the number of players. One hall has a 'rack-n-run' draw, which has on occasion creeped upwards of $500. I'll enter these occasionally, but haven't won much ...

There are also a couple of bigger events, $125 entry, $1500 - $2500 winners share, and these will draw folks from a province or two away (Man, Alta, and some BC now and then). These I do not enter as $125 for a 2-and-out experience is not to my liking ... maybe in a few years ...
