I got this ugly ass (at least to me) Meucci that needs a forearm. Can anyone tell me what kind of wood the butt section is made from ?? Or maybe what kind of plain jane forearm might look good with this butt section ?? I also still have the decorative collar from the original forearm that matches the ringwork on the butt section. Wrap of course will be changed, to something, dunno what yet. I'm open to any and all suggestions and thanks in advance for any input.

Do you grow tomatoes by chance?

LOL. Nope but I did say I was open to all suggestions didn't I. This is just for fun and the experience while I'm unemployed sitting around bored.

It's too short for a tomato stake anyways.... gotta add a forearm to it so it's tall enough. :)

It's doubtful you'll find an exact match to the butt-sleeve wood.
I might consider a cored high-fig BEM F/A with a big pin.
BEM goes with everything.
The higher the figuring the more you might want to consider coring.

Thanks KJ.

Actually, this cue has been sitting around for well over a year and all I did was pull the connecting pin out after cutting the forearm off (what was left of it). So I got REALLY bored last night while the wife was at work and after kido went to bed. So I decided to strip the finish off it last night and while doing so, seems the butt section was just a stain on the wood. After getting the clear off, a light sanding took the stain off and it is just a plain maple butt, so a BEM forearm will look really good on it, excluding the ugly ass blue inlays in the butt. Still gotta be one of the ugliest Meucci I have ever seen though. :)
