What would you do if this happened to you?

While my wife is taking a nap i thought i would log in and ask this hypothetical question to the people on here...now remember, this is a hypothetical question and situation.
Lets say that you were a successful professional pool tour promoter and you got word that another professional pool promoter was trying to worm their way in to your most successful venue with the sole purpose of trying to steal that venue from you. What would your honest reaction be. Would you go public with it? Would you contact the other promoter and ask them what the heck they think they are doing and ask them to back off...........mike
 
I certinally would contact the person, and from there I don't know what I would do.. It all depended on what their answers were and what exactly they were trying to do/prove.

The first step would be to contact them, and if all fails we would roll em Chicago style! lol :D (kidding)

I think I'd first talk to the other promoter. I'd want to get a good measure of my competition. After talking to them, I'd figure out what to do from there.

Charlie WIlliams trying to have an event at Turning Stone.Is that it? Am I warm?

Is it the Patriot Cup? Will Young Hwa Jeong really captain the North team?

There is nothing unscrupulous about another promoter attempting to make a deal with a venue with which you have a business relationship.

What is meant by "with the sole purpose of stealing that venue from you?" Are you saying that the other promoter is acting out of spite and not with a profit motive. You have certainly not offered any substantiation for the suggestion of unfair business practice here.

If there's a loyalty issue presented by this situation, it's between you and the venue, not between you and the other promoter.

Unless you are concealing some of the facts, this sounds like free enterprise in motion.

Please clarify.

I think it is a bit out of line. It may not be an "unfair business practice" but I wouldnt do it. There are too many casinos one could approach where you wouldnt be glomming on someone else's success. It's not like Verona New York is a have to have location. If TS made it known they wanted more pool events, I'd see it differently of course.
