What would you do in this spot? I was watching a match on tv and this came up. I will let you know the plaers and the event later unless someone guesses sooner.

I made a mistake on the shot. The two is not on the table. It's not really a what would you do. I just thought that it was a really good shot.He had to curve the ball off the second rail to hit the 3. I believe the shot as intended due to the speed the shot was played at. It was Efren V. Varner in the 94 us open I believe. I just really like the shot and decided to share it.

Kick at the 2... leaving shape for the 3 and a run out.
On the first table I would have considered this, but I'm too lazy to play that way.

I'd just kick at the 2 and play the kick/bank combo into the 9, banking the 9 right in and ending the game quick. No-brainer. ;)

Hopefully something more challenging would come up next game. :p

The second table seems more like it. IMO, the shot selection is nothing special, since it's the only way to go to get a hit. The shot execution is nice if he made the 2 rail kick and got the safe out of it.

I'm not a great kicker, but for someone that is I would think this is a pretty nice opportunity to take control of a rack. If the speed is played properly, you could hit the 3 in any number of spots and wind up hooking your opponant (either putting the cue or the 3 behind the cluster).

Maybe I a dense or something so can someone help me out here please

It's the WEI TABLE which can be foundd here http://endeavor.med.nyu.edu/~wei/pool/pooltable2.html
Copy the "funny" text from START to END and paste it by clicking on PASTE on the WEI Table. It will show you a picture of a table with the balls in the position desired by the poster plus arrows showing ball paths and where on the CB to apply spin.

Kick the outside of the 2 and leave the cue ball behind the cluster up table.
