I was just curious as to what type of playing cue, break cue, tips, taper ,weights etc that you use. Thanks

Good question. I was also wondering about Jeanette Lee's cue. Looks kind of like a Dominiak...what is with those black boxes halfway up the forearm of her cue? Looked wierd from the stands..same with her break cue.

Good question.

My playing cue is a Cognoscenti that I have had for about 8 years. It is 17.5oz, 12.5mm, not sure about the taper, hard moori tip.

My break cue right now is a Predator BK. 18oz, 13mm, hard moori tip. I don't prefer this break cue. I am using right now until a different one comes along. I used to break with a Phillipe sneaky pete and loved it. I also liked the Gilbert break/jump.

As far as Jeanette's cues, I know she used to play with a Jacoby but I am not sure now because of her new sponsorship. The black boxes on her cue are stickers that say Mosconi Billiards.

Ahhhh, stickers LOL.

I thought they looked out of place on her cue...didn't go with the color combinations haha. Cog's are nice.

Since you've been playing with the same cue for 8 years, this might not be relevant, but Cognoscenti cues are about 57 1/2", if I'm not mistaken... so my question is: Do you prefer a shorter cue to the standard 58" cues? (don't know how tall you are :D )

I don't really think the cue length makes that much of a difference. But I'm not too picky about things like that. I have hit balls with a cue that was 60" and I liked it because I am only 5'1. As far as the hit, I haven't noticed any difference since my cue is 57 1/2" I have had the ferrule changed for a stiffer hit. It is made of melomene (sp?) and it is close to the same size as a predator ferrule. I'm curious to find out how cues that have extensions like Karen Corr's play. I have not hit any balls with that, but it is something I am interested in. If anyone has tried something like that, let me know.

I really enjoy the pressure of the tournaments. Sometimes I think the pressure situation makes people play better. When I play great players, besides the first time I played Karen Corr in my first tournament, I tend to play well. To get ready for tournaments I just practice hard the week before the tournament and when I get there try to have fun and perform my best. Plus, I have never been one to pass up Pepto Bismal before a big match :)
