What's the best ld shaft on the market?

I have shot with Z,Z-2,314-2, OB, and OB Classic Pro for years. I have lately been shooting with the Classic Pro and love the shaft except for the tapper. I just ordered and received 2 days ago the Mezz Hybrid Pro ll and love the hit of the shaft. Very solid hit of this shaft. It appears deflection is not much different from the OB Classic Pro. I was shocked at the low deflection being a solid maple shaft wiht adjustments. Time will tell if I stick wiht the Hybrid Pro ll but from just a couple days of playing with it I will.

Please report back in after a week or so of playing with the Hybrid Pro II.

Real data?

Has anyone seen someone independent of a cue manufacturer do a systematic comparison of the various LD shafts? Dr. Dave did some interesting studies on deflection ( http://billiards.colostate.edu/bd_articles/2008/feb08.pdf ), but to my knowledge he never used his pool shot robot to compare various manufacturers.

I play with a 25 year old hard maple shaft. Having data like the above would be useful but from everything I've seen in this post and others it's largely a personal decision. I'll start asking league friends to let me shoot a little with their LD shafts.

Well I have been playing with the Hybrid Pro II for over a week now and I can say that the shaft is playing great. It didn't take any adjustment comming from an OB Classic Pro which surprised me. I really like this shaft.
