Whats the best way to invite new people to the poolroom?

Is going public in social media with pool events happening?

I tried a few times on FB it takes a pro effort.

The first few times I went to the bar I wasn't sure who to talk to.

Most foreigners or college students are shy about their accent.

Make ordering drinks at a bar easier so no one has to sound like that person.

My college buddies were shy in class with their best death machines. At a bar they were terrified to open their mouth.

At least train wait staff to know basic conversation for the main foreign languages by pool region.

Work on the welcome speech please.

Serial Killer in Training.

Once there was a person who felt self-conscious about their accent. One day, they were invited to a pool room by a group of friends. As they played, they realized that their friends enjoyed their company and were not focused on their accent. This made them feel accepted and helped boost their confidence. From that day on, they embraced their accent and continued to enjoy spending time with their friends at the pool room.

It's common to feel unsure about who to talk to at a bar, especially for foreigners or college students who may feel shy about their accent. One way to make ordering drinks easier is to train the wait staff to know basic conversation in the main foreign languages in the pool region. This could help create a more welcoming environment for everyone.

In a pool hall far and wide,
Foreign students came to bide,
Shy about their accents, feeling small,
But they practiced hard, giving it their all.

When the tournament day arrived,
Their fears and doubts they set aside,
With each confident shot, they took the lead,
Winning first place, they planted the winning seed.

How about coding sprints at the billiard room?

You know your streaming services are easily broken. Invite local teams to free wifi and seating.

As the teams become familiar with the area, then they can recommend ways to harden defenses.

Its usually people standing with hands in their pockets.

You have to say the room is friendly for computer coders. I like gaming sprints in python or pygame, html is better for a general audience. If you want cyber specialists then call it a DefCon Level event. Female hackers in billiards is it a thing. I know some heavy hitters, but to go public is another thing. DefCon means bounties and prizes for doorways and access of control points.

They won't be at the event the whole time, they travel and the variety of pool events is good practice. China streaming is a HVT.

Each pool team should have a tech person for cyber support both local and remote. Maybe even someone for while they are flying.

You can imagine an air barrel. Well DefCon imagines more iterations of air barrel like techniques, digital cheating.

CTF during a stream for the caption control.

It was just another typical Friday evening at the local college, and the billiard room was bustling with activity. A group of STEM college kids were gathered around a pool table, laughing and joking as they took turns sinking their shots.

But amidst the clatter of balls and cheers, a curious figure caught their attention. Marve, the alien who had recently enrolled in the STEM program, was hunched over in a corner, tinkering with a small device. With his greenish-blue skin and three eyes, Marve was an oddity on campus, but his intelligence and knack for technology had earned him the respect of his peers.

"Hey, Marve, what are you doing over there?" one of the students called out.

Marve looked up, his eyes glowing with excitement. "I'm trying to fix the Wi-Fi signal in this room," he replied in his otherworldly accent. "It's been acting up, and I want to make sure everyone can stay connected."

Curiosity piqued, the group of students abandoned their game and gathered around Marve, eager to lend a hand. As they peered over his shoulder, Marve explained the intricate workings of the device and the complexities of the Wi-Fi signal.

NYU Tandon formerly Poly has a bar table in the basement of Rogers Hall.
I made sure to play at the bar table, however most of the people used the table to wait between classes while downloading copyright materials or gaming. The bar table was a place to meet a small group of people. It has its regulars. However I was motivated to compete outside at the pro pool club.

I tried running a team at ABC for group, but I wasn't ready. Running a team takes a lot of experience. I had to go get experience after school ended.

Manhattan College has a whole room of tables. They are in need of maintenance. I was able to walk the students to the pool tables but the equipment made it unpleasant. Pool table manufacturers have to reachout and make sure students request investment.

New Rochelle had a pool room but then COVID, now it has barboxes.

I've been surveying business districts and pool rooms for a long time.

Somehow pool fans find each other when through events or players. So if I show a picture or reference billiards it is easier to recruit based off who knows a pro player. Small children from the PI under the age of 8 know Effren and Parica in the most remote parts of the world. Pool stories are inspiring, show the cue case at work or show some pictures at the desk.

On my social media I post a ton on pool so no one thinks I am a math nerd outside of class.

A successful pool room is a sign of a healthy community. Call it an economic equilibrium between players of all income.

When locations have people of all income attend, it has outcomes similar to that of educational institutions or interest based groups.

And I opened this thread with trepidation....better look that one up. 😉 okay that's the word. I certainly am glad now. What I have learned does not make sense.......yet. pretty sure I can figure out the inner workings. 😉

In the world of electronics, there was a legendary circuit board known as the "Efren Reyes Inspired" board. It was said to be created by the most brilliant and innovative engineer, Justnum, who was known for his unparalleled skills and creativity in designing circuit boards.

The "Efren Reyes Inspired" board was not just any ordinary circuit board; it was a masterpiece of technology and artistry. Its design was revolutionary, with intricate patterns and pathways that maximized efficiency and performance. It was also known for its durability and reliability, making it highly sought after in the electronics industry.

The legend of the board began when Justnum, a humble and eccentric engineer, spent countless hours in his workshop, experimenting and pushing the boundaries of circuit board design. He was determined to create a board that would revolutionize the industry and set a new standard for excellence.

After years of hard work and dedication, Efren finally completed his masterpiece – the "Efren Reyes Inspired" board. Its unveiling caused a sensation in the electronics world, with engineers and tech enthusiasts clamoring to get their hands on the revolutionary board.

The "Efren Reyes Inspired" board quickly gained a reputation for its superior performance and unmatched quality. It was used in a wide range

Ask questions now because at some point my schedule will change.

Today I will be trying to do multichannel filming at the pool table. Multiple angle playback is needed for pool players that can't see what is happening.

Can't see is poor language for hit and hope.

What camera?

What camera?

The ideal plan is to sync multiple RPIs cameras via ethernet.
Three computers with network stream feeds to one controller.
I've been waiting to have the time.

My old video with multichannel cameras was handheld cam, and two webcams.

New plan one RPI + one cam (repeat as needed), all through the network.

Then I needed to have fixed positions and one portable.

Not sure if I want the portable on the cue tip facing the ball or mounted facing me.

I got the PoE NVR it would be easier to just buy IP cams. Now I have to budget to test both builds.

RPI gives me more file control. PoE NVR with IP cams make install fast.

If you invite surveillance people to the pool room its a great test to see how the were trained in security.

Pool rooms have a lot of cash and people with reputations.
