i have 2 one on my lucasi and one on my inexpensive elite wrapless cue , the one on lucasi seems to hold chalk better and less miscuing , the other not as much performance, i normally sand the edjes downward so layers dont lift and thats all i do but i have troubles with elite cue not holding chalk and miscuing , cuold it be tip or cue ??? btw i use to have all elkmasters but got tired of there inconsistencies

Go to you friendly neighborhood cue repair person and have him re-shape your tips, then buy a couple of Willard shapers (either dime or nickle size) and from time to time freshen the tip ends youself. The cue repair person can show you how.
Miscues, more often than not, are caused by stroke errors. Don't worry about your cue tips.
