What's the deal with Lucasi?

Ya know, I hear all these people in these threads speaking of joss, viking, mcdermott and so on... yet in the time i've been around here, not one peep about Lucasi.

I personally love the hit of them. I think they are pretty damn good sticks for what they cost.

Obviously, others don't feel the same way though, what's the deal?

Price wise they are a well made cue -the uniloc joint can come loose - I remember Buddy Hall was a spokesperson for Lucasi adds in the billiard magazines but don't know if he actually played with one.

The first cue that I dropped some coin on was a Lucasi. Spent 300 and loved it. It was good looking and played. Wish I still had it today. Left it in a pool hall in germany because I was taking this chick home and was not thinking about my cue. i personally loved the quick release. Lets me get out of there in a hurry.

I have a L-E56.. 19 oz. unplayed. I bought it for my daughter...as a prize for when she ran her first rack.... she no longer wants to play. I'll make you a good deal on a brand new cue!!

Thats true, but good for the money is not really what the serious or even casual player wants. Guys are spending a couple hundred a month in the pool room they should be playing with something above "Good for the money". Some players who say that may not have owned a really top notch cue. There is a difference, believe me.
