Assuming it is an ivory joint, I would say retail is around 2,200-2500. If you call em up they might take 1700 now for it. Ask for scott. He is a good man to work with. The other mottey on there was my cue. It makes me cry when I see it. I never should have let it go.

I believe that cue retails for $1950. If the wrap is snakeskin (which that appears to be) that adds another $50.

Roger,

Yes, that is the only reason that I felt qualified to answer.

James,I didnt know paul used snakeskin, thought it was either lizard(250) or leather (100) as options and wouldnt he charge a extra for snakewood which is more expensive then ebony or rosewood ? 1600 +(50(hoppe Ring) 250(ivory joint) +100(Leather) =2000 plus extra for snakewood?
Another lurker!

Since prices were raised back in 2000(?), there has been no upcharge for snakewood or burl as had been true in the past. A basic four point with four veneers is $1500. Ivory joint is $250, Hoppe ring is $100, leather (pig, cow snake or lizard) adds $100 to $250. Snakeskin has been used on a few cues, I would say less than ten. Unless Paul says otherwise!

Yes Joe I got off my butt and registered so I could finally get in touch with you ! I'm not sure I got your correct phone# from the last e-mail. I ended up talking to Mark anyway.

Charles,
If you would like to discuss a new cue order, you can reach me at Mottey Custom Cues. Paul and I are partners, he usually works during the day and I (because of family schedule) work in the evening. We also can be reached via e-mail.

Hello, glad to see another cuemaker here. We have an "Ask the Cuemaker" section here, that I am sure you would be more than welcome to participate in. It is full of cuemakers, repairmen and some just interested in cues.
