I saw that front page message that Paul and the WPA/IBC had some kind of a fuss and now the event is not sanctioned by either organization. He went on to say he was getting no support from the players as well, support how? Not getting enough people signing up? I would find that tough to believe when the event was a big $ tourney with alot of pros comming out, Calgary has 64 players that would play at least no to mention other provinces and the other people that would come up for it from the states or other countries. The thing was a total success last year, this year the money was alot higher, what happend?

Plus, if you know who won the masters trips from Players and could post them that would be cool.

Well In my opinion the only thing I think was a problem was the fact that most players are starting to shy away from the UPA because of various resens that I wont go into , But I agree that at times it almost seems impossible to run a top notch event when there are to many people taking control, I think Paul and the promoters of the Western Event made the right choice. Imagine trying to run something that was being overseen and back seat driven by not one but 3 seperate bodies (UPA WPA IBC). I can just imagine the hell it would be

Just my humble opinion I could be wrong and have been before so no big deal if I am

Sounds OK. I am sure Paul will still run an awesome event. I hope losing the sanctions does not hurt the future of the event though. It now has to create its own name and not borrow the fame of the others.

Loco, you would not happen to be Stix Jerry are ya?

The event was a huge success last year and I'm sure Paul will run a great event this year as well, I'm sure there will also be plenty of players.

Unfortunately Celtic, I have no idea who won the masters....I haven't been able to shoot for a while now :(
