what's your 9 ball B@R % on your practice table?

just curious and trying make some correlations relative to my development

I recently jumped from 1% to 10% with some solid practice and significantly improved break

also, do you have an active fargo?

Depends on a lot of things. You playing ghost or standard pro rules 9-ball? What size table? Template rack, 1 on the spot, no break box?

Standard rules, running a 3 pack is a good day for me. And running 10-20% is also a good session. Playing the ghost, my last great session was 11-1 winner.

Out of 10 racks of 9 Id get 2, maybe 3 b&r.
Bih after break vs 9 ghost, 45-50% win ratio or better.

This on a 9ft gc3 with 4-1/8", been a long while since Ive played on 4.5" pockets or bigger.
Id imagine id fair a bit better percentage wise on more forgiving pockets.

Foreign colors lol. What brand ball set?

That's a big jump, sounds like you found the missing ingredient. I don't practice 9 ball enough to know what my percentage is, probably about 2%. I don't do ball in hand after the break, I never come to the table with a favorable position in a match so I'd rather work on playing from unfavorable position.

Does anyone know of a ghost variation that simulates a game better? Something like if I don't get a shot after the break, I can play a safety? Right now, I wind up playing both sides, it doesn't really work from a win percentage standpoint like the ghost does. Demetrius Jelatis says he flips a couple of quarters and if he gets both tails the the ghost doesn't win the rack. That could make things a little more interesting.

do wooden rack and no ball in hand.

starting with one or two down ball in hand, and a blasted wide open table is no representation of anything substantive.

Curious why the balls are racked the same every time? Does it matter?

I am so inconsistent, it is difficult to say.
That, and I rarely get to play a full set against the ghost.
I typically play around ten racks when I am practicing my break, and take bih when I can't see the OB.
I'd guess my average is 15-20% B&R, approx 50-60% with bih ghost.
When I'm breaking well I can hang pretty even with the pro ghost, but I'm talking maybe 3-3, 4-4 at most. No time for a longer set.
I would not bet on myself to beat the pro ghost in a long set unless I was getting 4 to 1 on the money lol.
This is template rack on standard 9' Diamond pro-am. Fargo in the lower 600s.

I like to play where still play a safety where I would in an actual game. I then shoot for ghost to see if it was a good safety. If ghost contacts object ball I lose. This gets me actual practice how I play.

i do something similar to this but if i the ghost cant see the ball i take bih and continue trying to run out
