Wheat State carbon fiber shaft feedback

Does anyone have any feedback on the Onyx carbon fiber shaft from Wheat State Custom Cues?

He offers a ton of customization options, but I'm primarily interested in the feel and its low deflection properties.

I saw a positive review a while ago on Sneaky Pete Mafia's website but I truly don't believe I've ever seen them give any product something other than a positive review, so that review means very little in my book. It's quite expensive for a smaller manufacturer. I understand that you can customize your shaft & I have no reason to think the owner wouldn't stand behind his product should there be any issues, but I would need the price to be lower to take a flyer on a product like this.

Thanks. I was seeing the same thing. The problem I have is he is the only person out there (that I know of) where I can get all of the specs I want -- 3/8x10 modified pin, 12.75, .850 joint diameter, 1/8" ferule, 3.8 oz., and matching ring work. Meucci is an option but I would have to give up some stuff.

It’s definitely cool that small independent folks are starting to offer custom CF designs. The price & “discovery risk” of dealing with an unknown entity is hard to stomache, but after the nightmare I had getting a customized Meucci CF, maybe those hazards aren’t so bad…
