Ebay, 1 day auction... The guy is military home on leave (playing sympathy card)... He says he reserves the right to pull auction (or have ebay pull it for him whichever comes first)...

Retail $2800 cue supposedly with no reserve going for $800 right now... Ok that happens... Gosh, I guess this poor military guy is really hard up for cash...LOL :D

He has 23 bidders... I hope they check out AZ forum...

New Item for sale... UPSTATE NY (kinda general)

So this "Military guy" sold an item in Michigan in may... went overseas and then came back to Upstate NY to sell his $3,000 pool cue for $900...

1 day auction is suspicious due to the fact ebay might not get a report quick enough to pull...

The timing of the auction... ends early day after labor day... hmmm Labor day no ebay... 1 day auction ending before ebay people wake up from hangovers...

OK, I know ebay is around the clock prob, but suckers bidding on the auction may be a little groggy and may not notice the signals of a scam early in the AM after Labor Day...

I could be wrong, but this looks like a hijacked seller top end pool cue for sale scam...

Bid at your own peril...
 
Scam ??

If he is home on emergency leave how has he sold 2 guitars, and other items each month since february, It is strange if you look at the feedbacks of buyers and sellers.

I have been watching this, but also am not comfortable, could be OK though!!

That selling price could have been influenced by this thread. I think if I was the legitimate seller, I'd be a bit miffed! lol

Thats what happens when all the know it all's chime in and they throw out bad info with out even knowing crap about a seller,rk pony has been selling like this for along time. This whole site is a bunch of hot air,its worse than ebay in my opion,atleast ebay has some accountability!

People Hijack profiles on ebay so the seller (who the id belongs to) isnt the scammer usually... If I was wrong I'm sorry, but this seemed shady on many levels...

If you feel bad for the guy, let him relist it or throw him some extra cash... dont make me feel bad for calling attention to what seemed like a shady auction...

I will never post a scam alert again... Let you guys take yer chances

I UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU WERE DOING. MY POINT WAS, TO DO MORE RESEARCH, AND KNOW FOR SURE BEFORE YOU BASH AN HONEST, AND IN THIS CASE, HARD WORKING SELLER.

I'VE CONSIDERED SENDING HIMSOME EXTRA CASH IF I SELL THE CUE AT A PROFIT. I WILL CROSS THAT BRIDGE WHEN I GET THERE.

I NEEDED TO CLEAR THIS UP, SO IN THE FUTURE PEOPLE WOULDN'T BE AFRAID TO DEAL WITH RANDAL, HE IS A GOOD GUY.
 
I think the best idea would be; instead of having a thread titled "SCAM", just start a thread asking people if they have dealt with, or have any information on the seller.

I'm sure you meant well, but you really need something more concrete before you throw around the word "scam". Expressing your concerns and possibly asking if anyone else had any dealings or knowlege of the seller would have been more appropriate before any accusations were made.

yeah, I agree. a few words cost this guy hundreds of dollars. if this happened to the guy who yelled "scam", how pissed would he be??

you screw up and then tell marcus to throw him a few hundred his way cause you opened your mouth? unreal. put some blame on yourself. at least you could tell the guy "sorry".

great idea to ask if there is a scam going on, and ask if someone has dealt with someone in the past. lets all HELP each other out.

I Got It

I Just Posted This Cue In The Gallery. The Work Is Flawless, And The Deal Went As Smooth As Possible.

P.s. This Cue Could Go To A New Home For The Right Offer. Nice Cue, It Just Doesn't Fit My Collection. Just Thought I'd Try One Of His Cues, I Had Heard Good Things. The Positive Things I Heard About Mike Were All Accurate.
