when a High End, High Value cue is ALTERED , what does it do to it's VALUE ?

My biggest concern is if the new leather is much thicker and the wrap groove was sanded or re-tapered significantly .
You cannot re-taper his parabolic tapered butts.

What is a parabolic tapered butt? Does that mean that the bumper end of the butt is narrow, then the handle is thicker, then the handle tapers down to the joint?

Parabolic is a bad word, but it basically means continuous taper so that the dimensions are changing all the way along instead of segments of straight tapers.
