When did Ralf Soquet..........

I'm watching Ralf Soquet vs Jesse Engel right now. I noticed Ralf is playing with a Predator Z2 shaft. So when did Ralf Soquet make the switch from a 314~2 shaft to a Z2??? I'm wondering why after so many years of playing with a 314 (and quite successfully) would he make the switch???

Not sure how long ago, but he had that shaft last year at the derby.
