When is a Break & Run NOT a break & run?

he's getting good movement on that nine ball

if it's intentional, that's a good thing and should be at least considered as a b&r

he shoots well, some guy does that to me im certainly not gonna nitpick over semantics

APA wow first time i'm in agreement with APA

The APA awards patches for break and runs. There is a checkbox on the score sheet for this.

Here is a description from one of their franchise league website on the criteria for earning a 9-ball break and run patch.

A break and run is exactly what it says. The player must break and then pocket every ball in his or her category in 8 ball. In 9 ball, the player must break and pocket every ball on the table.

If this was a APA sanctioned match, your opponent would get a Break and Run patches for racks 3 & 7, and 9-ball on the Snap patches for racks 2 & 5.

I agree with this 100% WOW NEVER THOUGHT i WOULD AGREE WITH APA LOL

Pool room I used to play in had a break pot. Nine ball, you had to break and run the rack to win the $$. If the nine went on the break or you shot a combination you were awarded HALF the pot because it was not a break and run. Of course you still got the opportunity to run out. If you missed though half pot and done.
