Where are you eyes when using sidespin?

This is a question that's been nagging me for a little while. When I'm on the vertical axis, I pick a line and target during my standing address, lay my cue along that line and try not to deviate from it till the shot's over.

But what are the eyes focusing on when you have to account for deflection?

Thanks, Randy. I ask that because I sometimes "lose" the squirt aiming point when my eyes switch back and forth from the CB to the OB during my mimic strokes.

It struck me that, since I play with my chin right above the cue, my eyes switch between two different "lines" when using english. Hence the difficulty...

I understand your pain. That's why at Cue-Tech we teach the Quiet Eye Pattern.

Try this. After you have acquired your aim point, shift your eyes to the cueball and keep them there through out your "mimic" strokes. Then shift your eyes back to the aim point. A smooth back stroke sets a very good forward stroke.....SPF-randyg

What if your using BHE?......

For me I always look at the initial "aim" point....but that still may not be the "actual" contact point since my initail aim is based on a Center to Center / HH combined aiming system......

(that should cause some confusion)

This has nothing to do with squirt or deflection but I have noticed that when I get deep in the zone I actually have one eye on the object ball and the other one on the pocket...almost as if I'm...I don't know its wierd. It's like I'm not aiming at the object ball or the pocket but seeing the WHOLE picture without focusing on one point. I can't just do this at will but rather I just notice it when its happening.
