Where can I get cheap 9ft (American style) tables? Do I import them, or....?

Hi.

I am looking at the idea of setting up my own pool Hall here in Australia. I have an interested backer, and I am wondering, what would be the best way to cheaply buy 8-12 - 9 Foot (American Style) Tables?

Do I import them from China? If so, where do I start?

Do I import them from somewear else?

There all very expensive here in Australia, but no i can get the tables cheaper, but wear!!!???

Any advice/help would be much apprectiated!

I have been in cintact with most of the Australian dealers, but there all to expensive! (One has given me a good quote)

Is it cheaper to import then from china do u no?

Some brands (american)- Brunswick, Diamond,Olhausen: (Canada)- Black Crown: (europe)- dynamic : (asia)-Aileex, Palko,lots more.

If nothing is already avialable in Australia or New Zealand I don't know. Shipping from anywhere else is going to added a lot of cost. New Gold Crowns run $10K here and Diamonds are $4.5+. The least expensive is going to likely be asian made supplier and imported by Aussie dealer. There are also some manufacturers in Malaysia,India and maybe Singapore. Most of these asian companies make gold crown and brunswick metro knockoffs.

I wonder what companies in Asia make the rip off Brunswick Metro tables? I should talk to them and see how much they are, and then what it will cost to ship to Australia!

If my backer agrees, I would ideally like to buy 8-12 9FT tables. On 12 tables we can then have an Australian title, state titles etc etc. We couldn't do that on 6 tables for example! :)

Just have to find out the prices from these different companys in Asia for there tables!
Anyone no where to start?

Make them a firm offer. If you are buying in volume, some Australian dealer will surely sell you at a discounted price.

I'd also say give Diamond Billiards a call. They may be interested in getting into that market especially if you know you will be able to host some larger tournaments at your location.

I was looking through the alibaba website and found 10 refurbished gold crowns for sale out of south carolina on page 10. Company is Reedy River News. Don't know the price but all the contact info is on that page. Good luck
 
I knew a guy who "reimported" Brunswicks GC's from Korea and made out better and he was a BRUNSWICK DEALER and quite a creep.
