Where Do You Get Overlays.

My apologies to the professional cue craftsmen out there. I own a production plane jane cue. really nice deep red double wash staining. I want to add something to the but and forearm to personalize it some. I've been searching the net looking for decals or some such sort of thing but no luck. Where do overlays come from?

Adding inlays to a finished cue is possible, but the cue will need a refinish or partial refinish. It's also important that the cue is nice and straight. But it sounds like you're really looking for stickers? There's lots of companies doing custom stickers. Decals wil have to be slid on, then cleared over, so much more work.

Not counting if you have to mess with the stain.
Could be stressful.

They used to come in corn flake boxes, I lost track when i switched to frosted flakes. Maybe cracker jacks?

Good point, when you are working on a cue someone else made, Surprise!!! Might be stained maple and marketed as ebony
Yes Sir
That's one of the reasons why I believe only the original Cue maker should do a job like this.
