Where has the Wanted/FS section courtesy gone?

When I want to sell something OR make an offer to buy, there is NO potential deal unless there is a response saying so PERIOD. It works both ways and I'm fine with that. Offers mean nothing until the seller or buyer responds with a YES. The item is ALWAYS still for sale until then and things can change in a heartbeat... You know that famous saying "you snooze you loose", well let's change that "you OR them snooze and you OR them loose"...

I don't like dealing in any other way but over the phone or in person... That's why I usually request a # or a pm to get my #. If I sell something and you want it, be prepared to call and talk about it.

It sad and very disappointing that people do not honor their word......it's the only thing every person possesses at the very outset.
And once you lose it, it's very hard to replace........integrity.
When I make a agreement with someone, I cannot imagine what it would take for me to honor it.
If there was a unexpected financial event but I would still buy a cue using a payment plan.
Look......There is no compromise when it comes to the truth, honesty and one's integrity.

Larry, thanks for coming on here and offering that up. I find it interesting that people say I should've sold it to the guy with the cash because I've seen others get skewered on here for doing that exact thing and the "oh you have an obligation to hold it to the person you offered it to" "a written agreement", etc.

Anyway the point of my thread was more general than just BBB. It happens too much on here. It takes a few seconds to say no thanks or give some kind of a response, whether buyer or seller.

Larry, my final comments are this. First, when I went to bump the thread I saw your post in there and as I said, there was no PM from you so I sent you one. Check your "sent items" and I'm guessing there isn't one in there. If there is, some kind of AZ glitch?? I never got one because I always respond ASAP and I check on Tapatalk too.

Secondly, I appreciate your offer but I don't need you to buy a case you don't need. It's not like I need it to feed my family or something. I'll continue the sale for a while and if it doesn't move, I'll try something else or hang on to it. So like I said, thanks and no hard feelings on my end.

I'll send you a PM too. :wink2:

i got your pm
stating what you said above which i bolded
A BIG THANK YOU AND A VERY HONORARBLE GESTURE....:bow-down::bow-down::bow-down:

once again i apologize for any inconvenience.. it was unintentional and i have learned a lesson
if my friend ever gets back to me and the case is still available i will let you know and pay full price....

Lately I've have a few guys lowball me on offers (big purchases too) and when I accepted, they air barreled the deals. As the older collectors become less involved in the hobby, the quality of buyers out there has greatly diminished. It use to be buyer beware....now it's seller beware !!!!!

At least when I lowball somebody I follow through! :)

Don't feel bad. I got lowballed on an $8 box of chalk on Flea Bay ;) I mean, really?? He said he would by in bulk (5 boxes) ?? That's bulk..lol

And that he would pay me $4 per box. WOW. Great deal, after my wholesale cost of the chalk, ebay fee, and paypal fee, I might only lose .25 per box  At least he didn't try to get FREE shipping, so there's that at least ;)

Usually I just ignore those, but I told him I could go as low as $7.99 !!!
