where is ENGLISH

He went off a little too much, too frequently and got himself banned.

Couple of weeks ago. Can't link using my phone very well, the tipping point was in Ask The Instructors. There arent that many threads in there, or that much movement compared to the Main forum, you can find it if you like.

Edit *** Pendulum Stroke thread, about halfway down the page ***

Looks like his "46 years of pool playing experience" didn't teach him manners :)

Rick, I think is a good guy, but there is something not quite right. he's old school, and thinks the only way to teach anything, pool, baseball, golf, is "his" way, and if you differ from that, you are a hack and not helping anyone....

I'm not really sure what his motivation is in the "ask the instructor" thread anyways.....he only asks "questions" that he already has his own answer to, so he can then begin the argument with the instructors and play the "well, I'm just trying to learn" bs all the while taking pot shots at anyone who disagrees with him.

The time out should do him some good.... and he should NEVER be allowed to be in the "ask the instrutctor" thread again, EVER. He's an accident waiting to happen, only he poured the oil onto the roadway and yells why the hell did you hit me :)

Actually, RJ, I don't think it's so much that he's "old school," because we have PLENTY of old-schoolers here on the forums. (And, I admit, I'm old school in a lot of ways as well. A lot of us are, whether we admit it or not.)

Rather, I think Rick was being a little too obsessive-compulsive (maybe he even has OCD -- diagnosed or not, I don't know) or had a little too much time on his hands. Indeed, his prolific nature was stunning -- I was astounded at how many threads get "ENGLISH'ed" in, say, an hour's time.

He's most likely a great guy (I'd bet on it). But the OCD nature of his is what gets him in trouble.

Just some thoughts,
-Sean

Hey Sean, I was trying to be as polite as possible by using that term..... If I said what I wanted to say, a "stubborn fool", it might have come off petty, and mean-spirited :)

Oh it's easy to lose your cool and get banned for two months trust me

OK, Tommy, you gotta learn a rule that i'm now following for myself. When you are in NPR you can use your "outside voice", but when in the Main Forum, you need your "inside voice" :) It's good advice, I wish I had thought of it sooner !!!!

Yeah NOW you tell me! Lol I couldn't help it that guy had it coming and the mods let him threaten me and then got mad when I lost it
