Where to get Bear Cues?

Is there some place on the internet to order a Bear cue? I don't mean Mark Bear custom cues but the Bear cues Bustamante is or was sponsered by.

Also, one more question- Is their a brand of European pool cues called 'Boxer' or something like that? I could have sworn I saw them for sale on some website but now I can't find them. I really don't think I dreamed it but I don't know.

If I ever in my life meet Francisco Bustamante I'll try to remember to ask him about them.

As for the "Boxer" cues, I found that it is spelled "Boxxer" with two x's. Here is a link to them if anybody is interested: http://intensegames.co.uk/acatalog/Boxxer_Cues.html. Does anybody know anything about them? The look to be about on par with Player cues. If anybody here owns one or has ever shot with one, I would very much like to hear about it.

Hello,
Boxxer cues are made by BCE one of the leading makes of snooker cues and are designed as a cheaper alternative to the Kruger series. The Krugers are endorsed by Oliver Ortmann and are very nice.

As for Bear cues- I use one myself and love it and would recommend them without a shadow of a doubt but, presuming that you live in the US, they are very difficult to find. The reason is that they're made by Falcon Cues especially for Dynamic Billard of Germany who then redistribute them. Part of the deal was a non-competition pact which states that they won't be sold in North America, though, so that Falcon isn't efffectively competing against its own product!! Unfortunately both Bear and Falcon cues are now made in Taiwan and I haven't used any of the Taiwanese-made models. They may still be great but personally I'd look out for a nice s/h Canadian made one if I were you. In fact there is one on the US eBay now (just search for Bear cue).

To check out the new range at Dynamic Billard, though, use this link:

Hope this all helps,
Chris (Chrstc).

Chris- Thanks for the exceptionally quick and thorough reply. You answered all my question. Also, thanks for the heads up about getting an older model.

Hello,
Not a problem at all. I love to talk about Bear Cues so if you want any more help or info please feel free to PM me etc. By the way, if you or someone you know reads German then you'll find that eBay Germany is the best place to look for s/h Bears. Having said that there aren't any for sale there at the moment though!

Chris (Chrstc).
