Where to get wood?

1.5 sq x 30 inch sounds like a piece wanted for a full splice or a MW style. Unless you know someone personally that has 2 pieces like you are looking for, your search may last a long time.
Just a heads up.....
Any wood store listed on the internet with 2 pieces as such would last all of about 10 minutes from the time of being listed.
The wood you are asking about is specialized cue building wood.
Making relationships with exotic wood suppliers to be able to include wood like this for ourselves is paramount to our success. You may find someone that is on the verge of retiring or just getting out of the business that can help you. Searching for highly figured woods is the first thing I do every morning and have done since I've started building cues. I have built relationships with about a dozen exotic wood suppliers and keep my name in front of them every so often. Some are listed on the internet, some only have a phone number.
