Where to go in Vegas??

I'm flying out to Vegas tomorrow and staying for 5 nights. This will be my first trip out there. What are some of the good pool halls out there? I'm not really looking for action since I'm not bringing my cue. I'm going out there with a bunch of non-pool players. I guess I'm looking for a place where I can watch some top players and play a little pool.

Thanks in advance.

I went to the Cue Club, which was alright. They even have a snooker table! I was tired so I only played a few games then went back to the hotel to crash.

Forget pool and just enjoy Vegas. There's so much to see and do it's just mind boggling. Catch the pool room on about your 5th time out there.

Well you got to Walk the Strip and look at all the NEW HOTELS, but Take a BOTTLE WATER with you, as Las Vegas is hot Even at night.

Hope you win a lot of the Money I left there on my Last Trip, as i cam e home in the RED. Down about $20.00. ;)

Also check the Pawn Shops for DEALS on Cues, Cases, and maybe you will find someone SouthWest, or Bender for a Steal of a Deal.... :D

I'll have to give it a try. Is it near the strip?

That's what I hear... there's always something to do. I'm sure I won't even think about pool since I'm going with 8 chicks. :D

That's a great idea, I'll definitely check out the pawn shops. I'm hoping I don't waste too much money gambling. You left $20 down? How can you live with yourself? ;) Last time I went to AC I lost $800.

Cue Club on Sahara is a decent "player's" club...certainly easy to find.

Pool Sharks is on S. Decatur.

Crystal Palace Billiards is on E. Bonanza Road.

I am not much of a Gambler, althought I did come home with a NEW Wife... on my last trip to Sin City..... :D

Heed my warning about WATER CONSUMPTION, Water not BOOZE, or Coffee, Tea, JUST WATER. You do not want to pass out from dehydration...

Obviously, neither am I. :D

I'm hoping to come home with 8 new wives! Is polygamy legal in Vegas?

Thanks for the tip... I'll be sure to bring a bottle of water when I walk around. Although I don't think I'll do much walking. I'm sure the girls will just want to go to clubs (which is not really my scene  ). Give me a nice Irish bar with a pool table and I'm happy.

Agreed, check out the Cue Club. It's on Sahara, about a mile East of the strip in a small place called . Do yourself a favor though -- when traveling north or south, avoid using the strip to do so. Strick to Frank Sinatra Rd, Industrial Dr or Paradise Rd.

The Cue is open 24 hrs, and plenty of action or players to watch with a decent rail area.

try this

If you are hungry I recommend the Rio buffet inside the Rio casino, its $15 for lunch $23 for dinner. Its the best buffet in Vegas

Go North East of Lost Wages to Colorado City AZ. Polygamy is practiced there by the local Mormon's :D

Hi New Guy,

The Cue Club on Tuesday and Wednesday nights has nine ball events. See Torch Janes when you go in. Sunday night at Pool Sharks is straight pool. Monday night is nine ball. Say hello to "Thumbs" at the door. Crystal Palace is the three cushion headquarters in Vegas. Somewhat dangerous because of the late night crowd. Go there daytimes. They are on Bonanza at Eastern. Lots of bar box events. Friday night at Dealers Choice on Spring Mountain East of Decator. Only two blocks from Pool Sharks. Van Iler runs that event. Look for the Southern Nevada Pool League Magazine. They have a complete listing of events in Vegas. Too bad you leave today. I leave next Tuesday for two weeks in Vegas! Good luck!!!!!!!

Vegas

Mike,

As me, Darren and the team have just come back from ELEVEN days out there for the APA tourneys, here are some suggestions:

Mud Wrestling on Monday nights at the Frontier (also has a cool country bar where you can ride a bull)
Skinnning dipping at the Palms on Tuesday.
There is a tacky nightclub called The Beach just off the strip from the Stardust that was OK.
Did I mention the mud wrestling?
Watch some great bottle spinning at Hurrah's Carnival Bar
Great food at Rum Jungle in Mandalay Bay (I think it's called the Fire Menu or something)
Just about every hotel is amazing.
DON'T THINK ABOUT POOL! - although we did meet Sweet Marissa! :)
