Where to play in Santa Rosa?

Is there anywhere to play pool around Santa Rosa? I might have time tonight to shoot some pool.
If you mean California, then probably Santa Rosa Billiards. If you have a car, try also Buffalo Billiards in Cotati (Bob Byrne's former home room). I'm not sure about Masse's in Santa Rosa -- I heard it was closed -- but it was the site of one of the few PCA tournaments. It's a couple of blocks from SRB. All of these are listed by http://maps.google.com

Santa Rosa Billiards is closest to downtown.

There are two new places on Santa Rosa Avenue, Coyote Billiards and Los Amigos.

Buffalo Billiards is ten minutes away by freeway.

Wow, I hadn't even heard of Los Amigos. I need to get out more. :o

I heard the equipment is relatively nice at Coyote. I haven't been there yet though. Compared to our other options, it's likely that Coyote has the best equipment around.

Aside from that, I would say the drive to Buffalo is worth it.

If you end up at Santa Rosa Billiards, I would recommend tables 3, 5, or 6. All three of them have nap cloth, as do most of their tables, but I still think they play better than the two that have worsted cloth.

Yes, I meant California. Thanks Bob, I'll check them out.

Los Amigos just opened up and has new Olhausens, including Olhausen billiard tables, but charges a $12/hr table rate even for one player. Its only a couple blocks away from Coyote.

Coyote may or may not close. They planned on a restaurant, but things seem to be up in the air there. I went there to buy a monthly membership or whatever deal they had (30 hours of pool for $50) but they said "they already had enough memberships sold" - whatever that means. I still play at Buffalo. Crappy tables, but $50 a month is still a good deal for anyone who wants to play more than a couple hours a week.

Coyote IS the only place with any kind of regular action around here now, though. The tables are much better than Buffalo Billiards, they were set up by Alan who owns the San Rafael pool hall.
