Buddy, is playing and teaching at James place in Tampa, Fl. He called me last night and said he was there at this pool hall. He is looking for action also. He said he is getting old now and can't give up a lot of weight like he use to. But, if you want to meet a 12 time world champion, and 5 time pool player of the year this is your chance. I go to james place almost every weekend.They have a 8ball tourn at 8pm on fridays and a 9 ball tourn at 8 on saturdays.Tournaments are played on bar boxes.They have 2 9ft tables and there is always action.Generally everything gets going around 7-8pm and is always going late.(9-10 ball,1 hole,banks and 8 ball always available)If your in the tampa area and looking to match up this is the place to go.
In 1977 I used to play at Varsity Billiards and Baker's Billiards. Thery were pool rooms.
The bars I used to play at...Tiny Tap, 420 Club on McDill Ave and many more that I can't remember or trying to forget. LOL!:smile:
I'm sure everything has changed since then.
I was just talking to a friend about the great pizza in Tampa. I think it might of been Godfather's or Godmother's Pizza. I just know it was the best!:thumbup:

Franks Place isn't too far from me so I'm going to call up there and see if I can hook up with Buddy tomorrow.
I'm probably going to up to Strokers in Palm Harbor too so if anyone wants to hit some just send me a message.
I play at strokers. Lets make a game and play cheap.
How much longer is buddy hall in town for?
From 1980 when I came to Tampa from NY until the mid 1990's there was plenty of bars in Tampa with good BB action. I played in the two bars you mentioned along with Good Time Charlies and many more. Johnnyt

Buddy is at James place not Franks place.He will be there tonight.Alot of action lastnight.Several k changed hands.

Don't know why, but I keep thinking Franks Place which is in Ohio
