There is a CLASSIC pool room in Holyoke called Ivory Billiards and it is only 15 minutes away from Springfield.
They have a bunch of 9' Centennial's and some 9' Gold Crowns in excellent/original condition. It is like stepping back in time. Very friendly staff and always people in there. I highly suggest it! Take 91 N. to 391 N. right into Holyoke.

Ivory is great, they have several charity tournaments there also. Depends on how long you will be in the area. I think there is one coming up this weekend. This would be the closest to you. CT rooms are also good, aside from Pool Table Magic there is also World Championship which was Larry Liscotti's room. Has a 3C table there that is often in use. Actually Ivory also has a 3C table.
Can't remember the name of the town but there used to be a great straight pool room Bob's Billiards. Lot of 90 + ball runners. Bob would clean all the tables after they were used (after each customer was done before the next customer could start). But that was in the early 90s...
Ivory in Holyoke and Pool Table Magic near Bradley Airport are both good choices. i like the equipment at Ivory slightly better, but the food at PTM is far better and it's less crowded.
Ivory billiards has a weekly tournament on Friday nights. Good players. May be something for you to check out also

Ivory also has an open 9-ball tournament on Wednesday night.
If you will be in the area for a while and don't mind a longish drive, there will be a charity tournament in Ayer at The Billiards Cafe for the kids going to Jr Nationals Tuesday 6/12 5:30 start.
