Roger Griffis, I sure do miss his playing demeanor, with his energy he has to be doing something to replace pool, anyone know what that might be? BF

The last I heard he was working for CJ Wiley in Dallas at CJ's pool hall.

It's too bad he's not still playing. When he played at the Accu-stats 8-ball tournamnet in 2001 he came in second to Efren Reyes.

I've only seen him on video. I think he no longer works with CJ, but I think he's still in Dallas. The last I heard he was dealing poker somewhere.

He was here in Arizona again a couple months ago but I didn't get a chance to talk to him. I think he is doing some sort of auto financing business.

Yeah, I got several tapes from that, he just kind of self-destructed against Efren. I sure wish Accu-stats would do the "2nd Annual Accu-Stats 8-ball Tournament", it's neat seeing the pros play 8-ball.

I have absolutely no inside info and this is just a guess, but I get the feeling that their tape sales from that tourney did not meet the expectations they had hoped.

They produced the tournament themselves because customers were clamoring for more 8-ball tapes above and beyond the handful they had previously.

Or maybe it's just the opposite. Maybe the tapes sell well enough that they do not feel a need to stage another tourney at this point.

Either way I agree, I would like to see more, with different players this time, although how could you leave out Efren and Archer.
