Im about to order a new cue and i would have them put a le pro on but with le pros being inconsistant i would rather try something else. I was thinking kamui black medium? Anyone had experience with these?

you could always try a pooldawg milkdud.....jeffs tips seem to stay the same through all the use put on them...

I use Kamui medium, and love the tip. I tried the Soft, and Super Soft. The Soft is ok, but the Super Soft literally made almost no noise when I'd hit the cue, and I like to "feel" and "hear" the hit. Try the medium, and if it hits too hard, try the Soft. I have used Moori medium for years. I've never tried milk dud.

Thx folks, i think i will try the medium. I have some new le pros still in the box from the late 90's that i use they are pretty good i usually just do my own tip changes but since i can pick a tip i figured why not.

pooldawg8's milk duds are amazing, you cant beat 3 for $9 shipped to your door.

They are considered a medium hard tip, but on the hardness ratio they are consistent between 73-75 that makes these tips right around the same as a moori medium (74)

His tips are great and he's awesome to deal with, extremely fast also. I will never go back to a layered tip... Well at least for as long as he's making them.

I played with a lepro for 25 years. This past 3 years I have played with Kamuis. Started with a super soft and it was mushy. Then moved to a soft and I found it was too soft until you got down to the last 1/4 of the tip and thats how I found the tip was most similar to a good lepro in terms of hit and feel. The only problem there was that I found I wanted to get the tips taken down by at least 1/2 to 2/3 to get to where i wanted. My suggestion is either to get some of the older kamuis that are big and tall and get them cut in half and put em on. The newest version of the kamui is a layer or two shorter and the cut in half trick is not as effective. I give credit to the cut in half trick to jason sheerman out of south florida. hes the one who clued me into this. If you cant find the older kamuis I would suggest you put a newer kamui medium. Uncut down the newer kamuis have a hit I think you will find is pretty consistently similar enough to a lepro in terms of hardness and feel. Lots of people dont like having a tall tip and get it cut down. I havent played with a kamui medium yet when it gets down to the final 1/4 or less so at that point the tip might start glazing over and getting too hard and miscuing too much. I dunno at this point but im sure Ill find out one day. Right now my tip looks like some sort of ridiculous kamui mountain on my shaft so i got time.

Try american eagle tips from cuecomponents...they crush Kamui's and I like Kamui tips. Cant go wrong with a sniper either.
