Would the Porper model B be a good choice for an all in one machine? It looks like its a beefier machine than the taig based lathes.Any advise would be appreciated. Pm's welcome

Man if I had a nickle for every time this question has came up. When it comes down to it its just going to come down to what machine you like the best. There are people that swear by the model b lathe, some love the hightower and others like the unique. For me it would come down to what you want to do with the lathe and a budget.

I want a machine that will do points, rings, wraps and all tapering, but i dont want a big floor model lathe..I do understand that the structure of the lathe is very important. The porper model b looks more like a real lathe and at 150lbs, it might have the feel of a floor model.
tks again
