I have a friend that broke his 314-2 shaft that he loved. It got knocked over and hit a chair and broke the end off it last night, when two drunks got in a bar fight. He wants to try an OB with the Uni-Lock joint but was wondering which one is closest to his old 314-2???

Classic. It think it has just s touch more deflection, but much more feel.

The Classic is the right choice, but the new Classic+ is 13% lower in tip end mass than the original, giving it less cue ball squirt. The feedback we are getting from our customers is that it's lower than the 314-2.

Thanks Royce, great to hear that ... The Classic + sounds like a great shaft. I might just buy one and try it out myself. My friend lives in Austin and I live in Burnet, so we both appreciate local business.... :-)

I was just going to order the classic+ from Seyberts but the descriptions did not match. I sent them an email. Was looking for the 5/16x14 silver ring but when I clicked on it the description said 5/16x18. I also have been using the 314-2. Want to have a backup shaft.
