Which one is smoother between these two (WITHOUT GLOVES) Revo or Cynergy

Please pay attention to the topic, I don't care about playability or deflection or nothing else except what I asked. I play without gloves myself and I want the shaft that has a better sliding ability for hands without a glove.

I do know that all CFs are nice and slide very well. But between these two and if you've tried them & If you play without gloves, which one do you think is smoother and slides with your closed bridge hand better.

Smoother and sliding through your bridge hand easier can easily be mutually exclusive. Two perfectly flat pieces of highly polished steel can stick together hard enough to be very difficult to slide.

In fact, gauge blocks are lapped and polished so you can slide 2 blocks together (squishing all the air out in-between) and atmospheric pressure will hold the two blocks together !! Optical surfaces can do this too. So, smooth enough to have a glossy surface practically guarantees stickiness.

Exactly. My Meucci carbon pro is basically raw cf. It slides great with or without a glove.
My McDermott Defy has a very high gloss finish on it. It is smooth as glass and tends to stick to the hand.

i cant compare them but
i own a revo and can play without a glove most of the time but if the room get humid or i am alittle sweaty the shaft does not slide as smoothly so i use a glove at those times
p.s. playing with a glove you can get used to real quick
jmho

I have the Rogue and use a glove, but you can use pledge furniture polish and a microfiber cloth on cf shafts and it makes them slick as ice.
I learned the Pledge trick with cf arrows. Fired into a tight cedar bale at 300+fps they are near impossible to remove without a rubber grip mat and furniture polished arrows.

im new to cf shafts, and was surprised how sticky it was getting. When i cant stroke good, it really throws my game. I got a kamui glove and really like it. In all fairness, i play on filthy bar tables that quickly muck up hands and equipment. The glove solves this issue. The pledge would probably ensure a continuous slick cue on clean equipment, and it's safe. It is how pechauer instructs their cf to be cleaned.

I think the Cuetec simply because of its "Super Slim Taper" and its better finish. I own both Revos and Cynergys. I'm about to sell my Revos.

Well that settles it.
I don't like a glove.
I like to feel the shaft running through my fingers (let the jokes begin).
I feel like the glove separates you from the cue.
Sticking with wood.

I've had both,
cuetec wins, smoother and better shaft
my Mezz ignite might be smoother than the cuetec, ymmv

more similarities than differences with these cf shafts

The + and - of pledge is it doesn't build up. IOW it wears off easily. It's good on the balls for a few minutes of super stroke activity too.

J&J powder is just enough friction and just smooth enough. Shaft don’t matter

Been using the revo without a glove for about 2 weeks now. No issues. Can't comment on the cuetec though. Sorry.

Jesus, some of these posts lol. As you said stay to the topic so I will, both shafts are very smooth without a glove, I'd say the cynergy is a touch smoother but minuscule to be a huge difference. I personally play with a revo, the cynergy also is a tad quieter when sliding through the bridge hand. Hope this helps.

My two year old Cynergy is slicker than eel poop….that said…..I just bought my son the exact same shaft, out of the box it feels smoother. Not sure if it’s build up of oils or chalk dust corrosion. I am going to try the lemon pledge trick.

i have test hit a number of different carbons, I doubt there is much difference in the smoothnes.
