I have a friend who wants to put an 8ft table in his gameroom and has about $2500 to spend. Any suggestions?

Brunswick Bradford

A. Because its a good table..and

B. Because Brunswick was started in Cinci!!

Dont bother with the $$ quoted in the brunswick store, you can get one much cheaper in town.

You can get a really good deal on a used pool table. No point in buying new. Check out http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/ Search for "pool table" there are always several, if you see nothing you like just wait a couple of days and more will get listed.

I got the Brunswick Brookstone.

When properly set up (by me-not the two stoners that slapped it together in 45 minutes from the store I bought it) it plays damn nice. All wood, 1" framed slate, nice leather drop pockets, ball and claw leg option for about $2200.

I have a Brunswick Bradford 9'. I like the table but I wish the pockets weren't so generous. By the way, he's in Baltimore area. He did find an Olhausen on craigslist.

Proline

I would opt for the Proline. More table for your money and the founder of Proline used to work for Brunswick before Brunswick went over seas with their tables!!!! Besides my Proline plays better than a Brunswick, and it's not just me that says that.

Nice choice on the Bradford.

I own one to. though its a 8ft not a 9. And to be honest even with the 8ft i have to break out stubby couple times a round. But it is worth it.
