Bob Frey. I had one of his sneakys with a aegis ferrule and triangle tip. OMG the best a cue has ever felt in my hands. Regret selling it and try to buy it back every time I see the guy I sold it to. He said he's never parting with it.
I second that brother, im in the exact same situation. I had an old fancy sneaky ( on a very good source actually one of the very first cues he made when he went out on his own ) wood to wood and it was my second favorite cue I've ever owned/ played with
with and without a doubt the most solid hitting. I made VERY GOOD money on that cue but I do regret not having her every day. Also same thing, been trying to buy back at a generous increase over what I sold it for almost every since selling it. :(:(:(

For my money it's new kid Josh Treadway, he makes some of the nicest hitting cues!

southwest's jerry franklin made the hall of fame on a wood joint, and though there's plenty of cue makers who make great wood joints, not many will top that. ;)

1)southwest2)rick howard3)bluegrass,although a little different feel4) and keith josey. There simply is no substitute for southwest especially franklin predates and eras.

I have owned and played with many wood to wood cues. IMHO, Tim Prince makes a great wood to wood cue. He is also very good to work with.

IMO the new Josey cue I am playing with is the best cue I have ever played with. I have owned 6 Southwests and 3 Bluegrass cues. I still have a Bluegrass sneaky. I never owned a Rick Howard but read good things about them here on the forum. I had Keith make me a 60 inch cue, and he hit a home run. I love the way the cue plays on normal tables. Normal being a 9 foot Diamond with pro cut pockets, and a cue ball that weighs the same as the object balls. On a lightening fast bar box I have a 18oz. Jacoby with a Edge/ Hybrid shaft that I use.
